Students of St Vicente College of Education in Yendi are appealing to stakeholders for a peaceful resolution of the issues leading to the closure of the college.

On Monday, January 13, the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari II, sent a delegation to order the closure of the college.

The students, however, are making passionate appeals to stakeholders to consider and amicably resolve the matter. Christopher Majah, the PRO of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the college, spoke to Citi News.

“We the student body are appealing to the government and the stakeholders to come into this because without the management we the student body cannot do everything, all the offices in the school have closed down and we can not go to campus without non-teaching staff.

“We are appealing that whatever is the case they should resolve it within a possible time so that the staff can return to their offices and put things in order before we resume on the 27th,” he stated.
