Anointed Engineering Services Limited has introduced the Cireo Nano 3 Electric Vehicle, marking a significant milestone in Ghana’s automobile industry as the first of its kind on the local market.
The launch of the energy-efficient vehicle aligns with the global shift towards sustainable mobility, offering an eco-friendly alternative for individuals and businesses.
The Managing Director of Anointed Engineering Services Limited, Samuel Adjei Boateng, in an interview with Citi Business News encouraged both businesses and private individuals to embrace electric vehicles (EVs) as the world transitions to green energy.
He highlighted the economic and environmental benefits of EVs, emphasising their potential to lower fuel costs for users.
“This vehicle is what Ghana needs today. This vehicle is good for everyone, especially for those of us who live in urban areas like Accra, the big cities where traffic is prone. You need electric vehicles. This vehicle is so unique. You don’t need fuel. It runs purely on lithium batteries. The battery is guaranteed for 8 years. The car has all the modern features of a car. Air conditioning, power steering, LED screen, Bluetooth, airbag system, and anything you can think of a modern car, we have it,” Samuel Adjei Boateng remarked.
He further reassured potential users that the Cireo Nano 3 Electric Vehicle can be conveniently charged at home, eliminating the immediate need for public charging stations.
“This car, you can charge it in your home in the plug that you charge your normal phone. You don’t need a charging station. If you also have issues with your electricity, if you buy this car we are giving you a generator, and ultra-silent digital genset as a package. If you buy one car, you get one genset for free as a package Anointed is giving today,” the Managing Director stated.
In promoting the adoption of electric mobility, however, Samuel Adjei Boateng has also called for an expansion of EV infrastructure across Ghana.
He stressed the need for more charging stations to support customers willing to make the shift to electric transportation, noting that adequate infrastructure will be crucial in ensuring the success of other EVs in the country.
“Because we don’t have many charging stations in Ghana, people think when I buy EVs the charging will be a problem. The Cireo Nano 3 Electric Vehicle is unique. We have customised it for our home charge. If you bring in any other car that requires a charging station, you are going to have a challenge. From here to Kumasi, the is no charging station on the road.
“I plead that the government will look at the policy regarding the EV. This EV we have here, we paid the same duty as the traditional cars. If the government looks at the policy, I believe many investors will also invest money into this area where we can have a lot of charging stations and other versions of cars can come into the market,” Samuel Adjei Boateng emphasised.
The Cireo Nano 3 Electric Vehicle, designed with urban commuting in mind, comes with features that make it a suitable option for city dwellers. Its compact size allows for easy maneuverability in congested areas, while its energy efficiency and low maintenance costs make it an attractive choice for cost-conscious consumers.
