President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his optimism about achieving an industrialised and inclusive Africa through collaboration with the private sector and dedicated effort.

In a Facebook post, Mahama extended his gratitude to President Azali Assoumani of Comoros and President Faure Gnassingbé of Togo for their significant contributions during the presidential session of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2025 in Accra.

“My sincere appreciation to President Azali Assoumani of Comoros and President Faure Gnassingbé of Togo for their invaluable contributions during today’s presidential session of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2025 in Accra. Our leadership and commitment to Africa’s shared vision are crucial to unlocking the continent’s potential,” Mahama wrote.

He emphasised the importance of effective governance, infrastructure development, and industrialisation in transforming African economies and creating opportunities for the youth and future generations.

“I left the Dialogue convinced that we can achieve the vision of an industrialised and inclusive Africa in collaboration with the private sector. However, this requires hard work,” he stated.

Mahama highlighted the urgent need for trade liberalisation, infrastructure investments, and strengthened intra-African supply chains to fully benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

“Our presentations recognised the urgent need for effective governance, infrastructure development, and industrialisation to transform our economies and maintain connections, collaboration, and opportunities for our youth and future generations,” he noted.

Adding “I stressed the immense potential of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the urgent need for trade liberalisation, infrastructure investments, and strengthened intra-African supply chains so that our countries can fully benefit from the Agreement.”

The Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2025 brought together leaders and stakeholders to discuss strategies for achieving sustainable development and economic growth across the continent.
