Francis Kojo Kwarteng Arthur has officially taken over as Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), outlining a strategic vision to enhance Ghana’s export competitiveness and align with President John Mahama’s agenda for accelerated export-led growth.

Speaking at a handing-over ceremony on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, Kwarteng Arthur emphasised the importance of staff collaboration in driving policies that will expand non-traditional exports and strengthen Ghana’s position in global markets.

He commended the outgoing CEO, Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare I, along with her deputies and the broader GEPA team, for their contributions to the sector.

In her farewell address, Dr. Asare expressed gratitude to management and staff for their support during her tenure and urged them to remain committed to GEPA’s long-term goals under the new leadership.

Kwarteng Arthur’s appointment comes at a critical time as Ghana looks to diversify its export base and maximise opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

His leadership is expected to focus on strengthening trade partnerships, improving market access, and enhancing value addition in key export sectors.
