GOIL PLC, Ghana’s leading indigenous oil marketing company, has joined forces with Channel One TV as a key sponsor of the 2025 Heritage Caravan, reaffirming its commitment to promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and tourism.

For the past six years, GOIL PLC has proudly sponsored the Heritage Caravan, recognizing it as a unique opportunity to celebrate Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

The Heritage Caravan, organized annually by Channel One TV and Citi FM, is a flagship event that takes participants on an exciting journey across Ghana, exploring historical landmarks, diverse cultures, and breathtaking landscapes.

As a company deeply rooted in Ghana’s development, GOIL PLC’s partnership underscores its dedication to supporting initiatives that celebrate national identity and foster unity.

The company’s sponsorship will enhance the overall experience for “Caravanites” by ensuring seamless logistics, fueling the adventure, and contributing to a memorable journey.

The 2025 Heritage Caravan, scheduled for March 2–9, 2025, promises an unforgettable travel experience, featuring cultural immersion, thrilling activities, and engaging storytelling. With GOIL PLC’s backing, participants can look forward to an even smoother and more enriching expedition across Ghana.

This collaboration between GOIL PLC and Channel One TV highlights the power of corporate support in preserving and promoting Ghana’s heritage while creating lasting experiences for adventurers and cultural enthusiasts.

GOIL PLC, formerly known as GOIL Company Limited and Ghana Oil Company, is a state-owned Ghanaian oil and gas marketing company established on June 14, 1960.

As Ghana’s leading oil marketing company, GOIL remains the only fully indigenous petroleum marketing company in the country.

Originally founded as AGIP Ghana Company Limited, GOIL began as a private enterprise with major shareholders, including AGIP SPA of Italy and SNAM S.P.A. The company initially took over the marketing operations of AGIP PETROLI, a subsidiary established in Ghana in 1960.

GOIL focused on producing and distributing fossil fuel products such as fuel, propane, butane, asphalt, and lubricants.

In 1968, SNAM S.P.A. transferred its shares to Hydrocarbons International Holdings. By 1974, the Government of Ghana acquired full ownership of the company, rebranding it from AGIP Ghana Company Limited to Ghana Oil Company Limited, cementing its status as a proudly Ghanaian enterprise.

Celebrating Partnership and Tourism

Other sponsors of the 2025 Heritage Caravan include the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), Ghana Tourism Authority, Hollard Insurance, OmniBSIC, Apolonia City, Standard Water, Peeva Beverages, GB Foods and GOIL PLC.

Together, these organizations aim to solidify the event’s position as Ghana’s premier travel and cultural experience, uniting adventurers eager to explore the best the nation has to offer.

With its growing popularity and commitment to excellence, the Heritage Caravan continues to make a significant impact on Ghana’s travel and tourism landscape.
