The Office of the Special Prosecutor has Officially declared former Finance Minister Kenneth Nana Yaw Ofori-Atta wanted, calling on the public to provide any information regarding his whereabouts.

This follows the OSP declaring the former minister wanted and a fugitive at a presser in Accra last week.

According to the notice sighted on the OSP’s X page, Ofori-Atta, born on November 7, 1958, is a 66-year-old male with black eyes, black hair, and brown skin. His possible locations include the United States of America (USA) and the United Kingdom (UK).

The Special Prosecutor’s Office has outlined several charges against Ofori-Atta, including involvement in the Strategic Mobilisation-GRA Contract, termination of the ECG-BXC contract, payments related to the National Cathedral, procurement of ambulances, and utilisation of the Tax Refund Account.

In light of these allegations, the public is urged to contact the Office of the Special Prosecutor by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to 0554494499 or 0554484488 if they have any information that could assist in locating Ofori-Atta.

Meanwhile, the Office issued a legal disclaimer emphasising that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, reinforcing the legal principle of the presumption of innocence.
