Sam George, other cybersecurity leaders to grace 2025 CISO Summit

The highly anticipated 2025 “CISO Summit” is rapidly approaching, featuring an impressive assembly of speakers and distinguished guests

Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George will grace this year’s “CISO Summit” as the special Guest of Honour.

Sam George’s participation signals the government’s commitment to fortifying Ghana’s digital infrastructure and ensuring that innovation is met with strong, proactive security frameworks.

His presence also underscores the increasing need for collaboration between the public and private sectors in addressing the rising wave of cyber threats.

Other notable special guests at this year’s summit will include Divine Selase Agbeti Director General of the Cyber Security Authority, Trevor Axiak, Director of Kyte Global (Malta) as keynote speaker, Shai Zarivatch, Department Head, Africa and Middle East, Foreign Trade Administration (Israel), James Packer, Chairman of the Board at the International System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) and Tara Wisniewski, Executive Vice President of Advocacy, Global Markets, and Member Engagement at ISC2.

Speakers will also include; Desmond Israel, Founder & Lead Consultant Information Security, Architects Ltd (Ghana), Hendrik de Bruin, Head, Security Consulting SADC – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd (Israel), Francis Kyereh, Cyber Security Consultant, Kyte Consultant Ltd, (Malta), Nii Djan Mensah, Principal Consultant, Business Advisory Innovare limited, (Ghana), Dapo Salami, Chief Executive Officer, Platview Technologies (Nigeria), Wahab Adams Hamidu, Group Head of Information Technology at Hollard Holdings Ghana Ltd and Clement Yayra Tettey, Senior Manager, Cybersecurity and Privacy, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

The CISO summit is a specialised event that unites high-ranking cybersecurity executives, professionals, subject matter experts, policy makers and thought leaders from diverse industries to engage in discussions, exchange insights, and foster collaboration concerning the most current trends, obstacles, and strategies within the cybersecurity domain.

The third edition of CISO summit is slated for 9th and 10th April, 2025 from 8am each day at the Labadi beach Hotel under the theme “Proven Strategies For Global Cyber Executives: Maximizing Organizational Security And Efficiency.”

Target Audience include: Cybersecurity and Risk Board Committee Members, Senior Executives, CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, Cybersecurity and IT Professionals, Risk, Compliance and Audit Professionals and Aspiring CISOs.

This year, the CSA will leverage the summit to highlight Section 81 of the Cybersecurity Act 2020 (Act 1038) which establishes the pivotal Industry Forum. Building on its launch last October, the regulator will strategically utilize the CISO Summit to detail the Forum’s objectives and underscore the industry’s indispensable role in propelling Ghana’s cybersecurity advancements.

The summit promises to deliver a cohort of renowned speakers, panelists and experts who will lead value packed and informative sessions consisting of high-level panel discussions, a fireside chat, an interactive workshop, Live Demo sessions, B2B engagements, and networking opportunities.
