Davida Roofing Systems, one of Ghana’s leading roofing companies led by CEO Mr. David Kwame Aziago, has donated some polytanks to Sokode Senior High Technical School to bolster access to clean, safe water.
This contribution forms part of the Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu’s “Water For All” Initiative (Phase 1), which aims to deliver potable water to under-resourced communities, schools, and institutions.
Recognising that a reliable water supply is essential for a productive learning environment, Davida Roofing Systems made this gift to ensure students and teachers enjoy a more conducive setting for teaching and learning.
In his address, Mr. Aziago explained that the donation goes beyond routine corporate social responsibility:
“This gesture symbolises our steadfast support for those dedicated to learning and our commitment to ensuring students always have access to portable water for a brighter future.”
He also commended the Regional Minister for launching such a timely initiative to bridge the gap in water access for residents and learners alike.
James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, praised Davida Roofing Systems for answering the call and emphasised the importance of extending potable water throughout the region:
“Supporting schools and communities with reliable water access is a vital step in empowering the Volta Region. On behalf of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, I express deep gratitude to Davida Roofing Systems and all partners making this lasting impact – one school, one community at a time. And I urge Sokode Senior High Technical to make the best use of these tanks for the benefit of all.”
Francis Agbemadi, Volta Regional Director of Education, conveyed thanks on behalf of Headmaster Mr. Isaac Kofi Dzidzienyo:
“We are very thankful for this generous gesture by the Minister and Davida Roofing Systems. Our students and staff will put these polytanks to excellent use, helping produce the region’s best graduates.”
Davida Roofing Systems has a long history of community engagement.
In recent years, the company funded renovation works at UNMISS GH 11’s Battle Training Camp in Bundase, supplied materials for the Mepe Resettlement Project valued at GHC 450,000, donated food to security service personnel, and supported several orphanages.
Giving back to the community remains a hallmark of Davida Roofing Systems.
