The 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the New Juaben North Constituency, Samuel Adongo, has been unanimously confirmed as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly.

Mr. Adongo, widely praised for his openness and respect for all persons, secured a 100 per cent endorsement from the assembly, with all 29 members voting in favour of his nomination during the confirmation exercise held on Thursday, May 15.

His confirmation brings the total number of successfully endorsed Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Eastern Region to 30 out of 33.

The confirmation process for the Akuapem North MCE is expected to take place later today, while the final two confirmations—for Afram Plains North and Afram Plains South—are scheduled for Friday, May 16, 2025.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Awatey, and regional executives, led by the Chairman, Dr. Mark Oliver Kevor, expressed satisfaction about the smooth process and showed appreciation to all the assembly members for the overwhelming endorsement.

He charged them to work collectively to ensure development in the Municipality.
