AgriFair: Second day to offer more farm produce, bigger crowd and increased vendor sales

The Channel One TV AgriFair continues today, Saturday June 21, 2025 with heightened expectations as vendors and patrons return to the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra following a massive and sold-out opening on Friday.

The three-day AgriFair, which ends on Sunday, June 22 has already earned its place as Ghana’s largest fresh produce marketplace, drawing thousands of buyers, farmers, agripreneurs and agritech innovators to one venue.

Day one of the AgriFair ended on a high, with vendors selling out produce within hours of opening.

From tomatoes, cassava and plantains to fruits and grains, booths were emptied as early as mid-afternoon, with many patrons calling for more stock and extended vendor participation.

Vendors, equally surprised by the overwhelming demand, say they are returning on day two better prepared.

“I have come to buy a lot. The prices are really good as compared to the market. I like the fact that the products are very fresh. They look nice and attractive. I can say I have saved about GHS 200 if I compare it with what I would have gotten from the other markets. The AgriFair is a good one”, said one patron.

Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, John Dumelo who toured the fairgrounds on day one and commended the initiative, stressed the importance of creating platforms that connect farmers directly to markets and consumers.

The AgriFair, spearheaded by Channel One TV with support from Citi FM, is more than just a marketplace.

It doubles as a platform for networking, agribusiness innovation, youth engagement and sustainable agriculture.

Day two promises more than just fresh produce.

Patrons can expect the expanded agric clinic, product exhibitions, agri-finance insights and family-friendly experiences celebrating Ghana’s food culture.

The AgriFair is proudly sponsored by the Ghana Exim Bank, Legacy Crop Improvement Centre, Development Bank Ghana, Agri-Impact Limited, the Horticulture Business Platform and Twellium Ghana Ltd, Technology partner; Farmerline.
