The much-anticipated AgriFair by Channel One TV opens today at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.

Running from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22, the AgriFair brings together farmers from across the country, agritech innovators, agro-processors, input suppliers, development agencies and consumers.

It opens from 10am to 5pm each day.

The fair comes on the heels of the Citi Business Forum on Agriculture, which spotlighted agribusiness as a catalyst for economic transformation and will be three days of vibrant agricultural exhibitions, knowledge-sharing and direct consumer sales aimed at transforming the sector and deepening market access.

Worth noting is that, the AgriFair is a farm-to-basket model, which eliminates traditional middlemen – allowing consumers to buy fresh produce, livestock and fish directly from farmers at significantly reduced prices.

“The great thing is, there are no middlemen. Farmers will be selling their produce themselves, which means consumers enjoy quality goods at discounted prices”, said Frema Adunyame, Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV.

In addition, the AgriFair features an “Agric Clinic”for expert consultations, tailored agribusiness advice and technical support.

This will help farmers and entrepreneurs enhance productivity, scale operations and adopt sustainable practices.

Speaking on the importance of the AgriFair, General Manager of Citi FM and Channel One TV, Bernard Avle said it is also to support food security, innovation and regional agricultural competitiveness

It is going to be a diverse range of fresh, affordable farm produce, live demonstrations by agritech companies and agro-processors, strategic networking and business matchmaking, conversations on food systems and agribusiness policy and above all, a family-friendly atmosphere celebrating Ghanaian culture and culinary heritage.

The fair is expected to bridge the gap between producers and consumers and boost visibility for local agribusinesses

Already, the response from farmers and exhibitors has been enthusiastic, with hundreds of vendors preparing to meet consumer demand and forge partnerships across the value chain.

The 2025 AgriFair is powered by Channel One TV.

It is sponsored by EXIM Bank, Legacy Crop Improvement Centre, Development Bank Ghana, Agri-Impact Group, Farmerline, Horticulture Business Platform and Twellium Industrial Company.
