The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced seven new confirmed cases of Mpox in its latest update released on Sunday, June 16, 2025.
This brings the total number of confirmed Mpox cases in the country to 98 since the disease was first detected.
Despite the new infections, the GHS reports that there have been no new deaths, with the total death toll still at zero.
Additionally, there are no active hospital admissions related to Mpox as of the latest update.
Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, spreads mainly through close contact with infected individuals.
The GHS continues to urge the public to observe personal hygiene and avoid close physical contact with suspected cases to curb the spread.
Health authorities also reiterated their commitment to closely monitoring the situation and providing timely updates to keep the public informed.
