Ghana records two new Mpox cases, total now 119 – GHS

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has reported two new confirmed cases of Mpox in the country, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 119 as of June 22, 2025.

According to the latest update released by the GHS, there have been no new deaths recorded, with the total number of deaths still standing at zero.

Additionally, no patients are currently admitted for the disease.

Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, spreads mainly through close contact with an infected person. The health authorities continue to urge the public to adhere to safety protocols and seek immediate medical attention if symptoms appear.

The GHS has reiterated its commitment to monitoring the situation closely and implementing measures to prevent further spread of the virus.
