Azumah Resources Ghana Limited has disassociated itself from reports suggesting its involvement in the purported sale of the Black Volta Gold Project to Engineers & Planners Company Limited (E&P) or any other party.

In a statement, the company described a widely circulated invitation to a “Facility Agreement Signing Ceremony – E&P Acquisition of the Black Volta Gold Project” as false and unauthorised.

The event is said to be scheduled for July 7, 2025, at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.

“Azumah Resources has neither sold nor is in the process of selling the Black Volta Gold Project, in whole or in part. We have not entered into any acquisition agreement, nor have we authorised any third party to act on our behalf”, the company clarified.

Per the release, neither the Board of Directors nor the Executive Management of Azumah Resources has knowledge of the purported agreement, and no discussions have taken place with E&P or its affiliates.

The company pointed out that, the Black Volta Gold Project remains 100% owned by Azumah Resources.

Following successful shareholder-backed financing, the firm says it has begun preparatory works and is progressing toward full-scale construction.

The Company is therefore asking the general public to disregard the invitation and any related documents, stressing that they do not represent the position or intentions of the company.

“We have not entered into any form of acquisition agreements with any entity, nor have we authorized any third party to act on our behalf in this regard.”

“The Black Volta Gold Project remains wholly owned by Azumah Resources, and we reiterate our unwavering commitment to its development. Azumah Resources remains focused on delivering the Black Volta Gold Project in line with the highest standards of transparency, professionalism, and national development objectives”, part of the statement read.
