Channel One TV and Citi FM partner Absa for Absa Black Star Marathon

Channel One TV/Citi FM has partnered with Absa Bank Ghana Limited for the highly anticipated Absa Black Star Marathon, set to take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm at Independence Square in Accra.

The Absa Black Star Marathon, which includes the 42.2km full marathon and a 10K mass run, promises an exciting experience for both elite and amateur runners. Winners of the race will be presented with trophies and other recognitions.

As part of the partnership, Channel One TV/Citi FM will provide comprehensive coverage of the marathon, highlighting key moments and stories from participants under the theme #YourStoryMatters.

Interested participants can register online at blackstarmarathon.com or dial *713*33*22# to join Ghana’s premier long-distance race. The event is organized by Black Star Marathon LBG.

Absa Bank Ghana Limited (ABGL), formerly Barclays Bank Ghana, is a subsidiary of Absa Group Limited, a major financial services group headquartered in South Africa. The group operates in 12 African countries.

The event forms part of a growing effort to promote health, fitness, and national pride through sport. Organisers are encouraging Ghanaians from all walks of life to participate and #BeABlackStar.
