Tropo Farms Limited, also known as Volta Catch, a major participant in the recently concluded 2025 Agrifair organised by Channel One TV and Citi FM, has donated seven boxes of fresh tilapia to the media organisation. The gesture was made in appreciation of a successful event and to commemorate Channel One TV’s 7th anniversary.

The Agrifair, held from June 20 to June 22 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra, attracted thousands of shoppers, agribusinesses, and value chain actors from across Ghana.

The event recorded massive sellouts, with Tropo Farms among the vendors whose products were completely sold out.

Speaking during the donation on Wednesday, July 9, Rebecca Avomo, Marketing Manager at Tropo Farms Limited, explained that the donation was both a token of gratitude and a celebration of Channel One TV’s milestone.

“We are here to thank Channel One TV for the Agrifair, as you know, we were able to sell out. I also saw that you celebrated your 7th anniversary, so I have brought you 7 crates of fresh tilapia. It’s just a way for us to say thank you once again. We really appreciate the Agrifair. Thank you so much,” she said.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the station, Frema Adunyame, Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV and Citi FM, expressed gratitude to Tropo Farms for their participation and kind gesture.

“On behalf of Channel One TV/Cit FM, we want to say a very big thank you to Tropo Farms for coming to exhibit at the Agrifair. We thank people like you for telling the success story. Thank you very much for this presentation, and we’re very excited that you sold out. See you at the next Agrifair,” She stated.

The Agrifair was graced by high-profile dignitaries, including the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku; his Deputy, John Dumelo; Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi; former Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood; and former Minister of State, Elizabeth Ohene, among others.

The event delivered on its promise to connect consumers directly to fresh farm produce—ranging from fruits and vegetables to aquaculture products and processed foods—at affordable prices, eliminating the middleman.

Management of Channel One TV and Citi FM described the fair as a step toward strengthening linkages between producers and consumers, while promoting food security, youth participation, and innovation in agriculture.

The 2025 Agrifair was powered by Channel One TV, with support from Citi FM, and proudly sponsored by Ghana Exim Bank, Legacy Crop Improvement Centre, Development Bank Ghana, Agri-Impact Limited, the Horticulture Business Platform, and Twellium Ghana Ltd, with Farmerline as the technology partner.
