Ghana Commodity Exchange Board inaugurated

Government has inaugurated a new Governing Board for the Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX).

Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Thomas Nyarko-Ampem who inaugurated the Board urged members to strengthen the Exchange’s role in directly linking farmers to both local and international buyers.

The Deputy Minister also challenged the board to broaden the range of commodities traded on the platform, stressing that their work must be guided by good governance and transparency.

Board Chairperson, Nana Boadi Amponim Obadade III, assured that the board will focus on enhancing the operations and overall impact of the Ghana Commodity Exchange.
