The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Mr. John Abdulai Jinapor, has commissioned nine mechanised boreholes across several communities in the Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency of the Savanna Region, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure universal access to safe and reliable drinking water.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mr. Jinapor who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu said the project reflects his broader commitment to improving living standards through strategic investments in water, education, healthcare and infrastructure.
“This initiative is part of my continuous effort to ensure that every community has access to safe and reliable water,” he said.
The beneficiary communities include Ali Complex, Cemetery, Fire Service, Near MP’s House, Technical, Chanchanco, Chanchanco (Second Site), Yipala East and the Fulani Borehole at Npaha Junction.

“Our vision is one of equitable development ensuring that no community is left behind, regardless of size or location,” he noted.
The Minister renewed his commitment to sustaining these development efforts, revealing that additional initiatives in health, education and infrastructure are underway to further uplift the quality of life across the constituency.
