Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia North in the Ashanti Region, Akwasi Konadu, has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education in his constituency through targeted infrastructure support for schools.

As part of his routine engagements with educational institutions, the MP on Thursday, October 9, 2025, made two major donations aimed at improving the teaching and learning environment.

At Wesley Practice Primary B, Mr. Konadu presented GHS 15,000 to the Headmistress to support the construction of a staff common room, Head Teacher’s office, and a storeroom. The project, once completed, will provide a more conducive working space for teachers and administrators.

He then visited Kumasi Wesley Girls’ High School, where he donated 100 bags of cement to support the paving of portions of the school compound. The initiative is expected to improve sanitation, beautify the school environment, and reduce erosion risks—creating a safer and more pleasant atmosphere for students and staff.

“Education remains one of my top priorities because it is the foundation of individual growth and national development,” Mr. Konadu said. “I remain dedicated to supporting our schools and ensuring that every child learns in a safe, inspiring, and well-equipped environment.”

He commended teachers, students, and management teams for their dedication to shaping the future of young people and pledged to sustain investments in education to secure a brighter future for the next generation.
