Patrons and exhibitors at AgriFair 2025 are calling for the event to be held more frequently, with many suggesting monthly editions to sustain the momentum generated at the fair.

The exhibition, organised by Channel One TV and Citi FM at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra, once again demonstrated its growing influence as one of Ghana’s most vibrant agricultural marketplaces.
AgriFair brought together farmers, agribusiness operators, agro-processors, distributors, financial institutions and consumers in a lively marketplace designed to promote trade, learning and direct engagement.

The fair maintained its popular “farm-to-basket” model, which allows consumers to buy vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry and livestock directly from farmers. Patrons praised the model for ensuring fresher produce at competitive prices, while exhibitors noted improved earnings due to the elimination of intermediaries.

Beyond sales, the fair served as a strategic networking platform, attracting agritech firms, input suppliers, investors and financial institutions. Exhibitors said the timing—just before the Christmas season—was ideal for forging supply arrangements and expanding markets into 2026.
Several participants expressed satisfaction with the turnout, organisation and visibility the fair provided.
“It is going well,” said Jonas Adjei of the Animal Research Institute, describing engagement levels as encouraging.
He urged that the fair would be organised often and lauded Channel One TV and Citi FM for strategically promoting the CSIR and its works.

Akwasi Sekyere of Mangoline Farms who sold out by noon praised the programme, affirmed the positive atmosphere, noting steady interactions with buyers throughout the fair.
He indicated that he would come with more goods for day day, urging Ghanaians to take advantage of the exhibition.

For others, the publicity and exposure were key highlights. “We are making some sales. So far, so good. The publicity was so good,” said Sarah Onu, a sales representative for Efie ne Efie, who indicated that the fair boosted awareness of their products.
Patrons shared similar impressions. “The experience has been great,” said Cherise Phronesis-Agbottah, who commended the diversity of produce and the availability of agricultural experts offering practical guidance.

“I wish this fair would happen more often, like every month” said another patron, who gave her name only as Portia and noted that the event made it easy to compare prices and discover new products.
Family shoppers, too, appreciated the convenience. “I brought my children to see where their food comes from,” one parent said, adding that the direct interaction with farmers was “eye-opening and fun for the kids.”

AgriFair 2025 was powered by Channel One TV and Citi FM, with sponsorship from the Horticulture Business Platform (HBP), Development Bank Ghana (DBG), Legacy Crop Improvement Centre (LCIC), GIRSAL, Ghana EXIM Bank and Agri-Impact, and support from Twellium Industrial Company Limited.
