Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, former Director-General of Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority (CSA), has been appointed Executive Chairman of the e-Crime Bureau.

His appointment was announced following the inauguration of the firm’s third Governing Board. Dr. Antwi-Boasiako founded the e-Crime Bureau in 2011 and served as its Principal Consultant until 2017, when he entered public service.

He was appointed as the first Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority, where he served until March 2025. During his tenure, Ghana recorded significant improvements in cybersecurity governance, with the country’s rating on the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index rising from 32.6 per cent in 2017 to 99.27 per cent in 2025.

Dr. Antwi-Boasiako also served as the founding Chair of the African Network of Cyber Security Authorities (ANCA), working with regional partners, including the Smart Africa Alliance, on frameworks to support cybersecurity development across the continent.

According to the Bureau, the new Board forms part of a transition and growth strategy aimed at expanding its operations locally and internationally. In addition to his role as Executive Chairman, Dr. Antwi-Boasiako is expected to provide strategic oversight to the firm.

Mr. Emmanuel Agyei, a business executive, has also been appointed as Consulting Chief Executive to lead the day-to-day execution of the firm’s strategy.

Other members of the Board include Mr. Daniel Adoteye, Dr. Suzanne Nti, Professor Goski Alabi, Mr. Hicham El Achgar and Mr. Michael Abbiw. Ms. Cecilia Antwi Kyem has been named Board Secretary.

The Board was inaugurated on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the firm’s office in East Legon, Accra. The Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy were administered by a retired High Court judge, Justice Rebecca Sittie.

The e-Crime Bureau, established in 2011, provides cybersecurity consulting, digital forensics, investigations and related services to clients in Ghana and other African countries.
