The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that participants of the Diaspora Summit 2025 will be granted free visas ahead of the event scheduled for December 19–20, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

In a statement issued in Accra on Tuesday, December 2, the Ministry said the gesture follows a pledge made by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, during the Media Launch of the Summit.

The initiative is aimed at supporting Africans and people of African descent who wish to participate in the event, which seeks to strengthen cooperation and promote partnerships for shared development.

The Ministry advised prospective participants to visit the nearest Ghana Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate in their respective countries to obtain the free visas before travelling to Ghana.

It further announced that the deadline for online registration, available at www.diasporasummitghana.org, is Monday, December 8, 2025.

The release also outlined countries whose nationals do not require visas to enter Ghana under reciprocal Visa Waiver Agreements.

Holders of all passports from Barbados, Bahamas, Dominica, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa, Kenya, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore, Sao Tome and Principe, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, Rwanda, Morocco, Guyana, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Malawi and Grenada are exempt from visa requirements.

Additionally, holders of diplomatic, official, and service passports from Brazil, Colombia, China, Cuba, Germany, Sudan, Türkiye, Namibia, Hungary, Iran, India, Equatorial Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, Venezuela, Malta, and the United Arab Emirates also qualify for visa-free entry.

The Ministry encouraged all participants to complete their visa processes promptly and directed inquiries to its official email and phone contacts.

It also reiterated its commitment to ensuring a successful Diaspora Summit 2025.
