The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has used its Christmas and New Year message to account for its first year in government, highlighting efforts to restore confidence in governance, stabilise the economy, and strengthen public institutions.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Secretariat on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and signed by the General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC acknowledged the responsibility entrusted to it by the people of Ghana and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering on its mandate.

The party stated that the past year had been marked by deliberate policy actions aimed at rebuilding trust in governance, addressing economic challenges, and laying the foundation for sustainable growth, while prioritizing social protection and accountability.

“This festive period also marks one year since Ghanaians entrusted the NDC with the mandate to govern. The party fully acknowledges this responsibility and remains resolute in translating its vision into tangible improvements in the lives of the people,” the statement said.

Looking ahead to the new year, the party outlined key priorities, including economic recovery, job creation for the youth, stronger public institutions, and improved living standards.

The party assured Ghanaians that it remained focused on results-driven governance and responsive leadership.

The statement described the party’s approach as one anchored in discipline and accountability, noting that the government would continue to work to meet the expectations of citizens.

The NDC said it was committed to sustaining efforts to stabilise the economy and deliver policies that positively impact livelihoods, while managing public expectations as the nation enters a new year.

The message, while extending festive greetings to Ghanaians at home and abroad, also served as a midterm-style reassurance of the party’s determination to fully deliver on its governing mandate.
