Ghana’s premier cultural and heritage tour, the Heritage Caravan, returns for its 10th edition this year, promising an unforgettable journey through the country’s vibrant traditions, breathtaking landscapes, and rich history.
Organised by Channel One TV and Citi FM, the caravan will kick off on March 1, 2026, offering exclusive travel packages for cultural enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show, Frema Adunyame, Head of Events and Partnerships at Channel One TV and Citi FM, shared that the tour will cover 14 of Ghana’s 16 regions in just eight days, starting from the heart of Accra with the Greater Accra Experience.
“We leave Accra on March 1, 2026. The Heritage Caravan is the event that kicks off our Heritage Month. So, we start that early and we begin from the garden of Channel One TV with the Greater Accra Experience,” she said.
To celebrate a decade of heritage exploration, the 2026 caravan will feature four buses, providing a vibrant, festive atmosphere for participants. Highlights include live music performances by the Nyinkyim Band and DJ Mingle at Maaha Beach Resort, as well as culinary delights from across the regions.
Patrons will also enjoy a special two-night stay in Tamale, in the Northern Region, offering an authentic taste of northern hospitality and culture.
Frema Adunyame also shared details on the structured travel packages:
Single occupancy: GHC 19,500 per person
Double occupancy: GHC 15,000 per person
She added that the registration process has been streamlined for convenience:
“Your payment is your registration. Previously, we announced the caravan and then gave another day for payment. This year, once you come in, you make payment at the same time.”
The 2026 Heritage Caravan promises a fully immersive experience, blending music, history, food, and adventure, while giving participants flexible options to suit their travel preferences. It is designed not just as a tour, but as a celebration of Ghanaian identity and cultural pride.
The Heritage Caravan continues to be powered by Channel One TV and Citi FM, reaffirming their commitment to bringing Ghanaians closer to their heritage, one region at a time.
