Paystack, a leading African payments technology company, has officially opened a new office in Accra, marking a significant step in its long-term commitment to supporting Ghana’s rapidly growing digital economy.
The new office reflects the increasing role digital payments play in how Ghanaian businesses operate today, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large online platforms.
As more businesses rely on technology to reach customers, manage payments, and scale efficiently, having strong local infrastructure and support has become increasingly important.
The office launch took place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Vivo Place in Cantonments City. The event brought together key stakeholders shaping Ghana’s digital and financial ecosystem, including merchants, banking and payment partners, regulators, auditors, and technology innovators.
According to Paystack, the Accra office is designed to bring the company closer to the Ghanaian businesses it serves.
With teams on the ground, Paystack aims to improve responsiveness, strengthen partnerships across the ecosystem, and build payment solutions that reflect the realities of doing business in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch, Felix Darko, Territory Manager for Paystack Ghana, highlighted the company’s growth journey across the continent and the importance of Ghana to Paystack’s operations.
“Paystack now owns licenses in six African countries, and Ghana is one of our largest and most strategic markets,” he said.
“Opening this office allows us to work more closely with Ghanaian businesses, understand their needs better, and support their growth with reliable and innovative payment solutions.
”He also reaffirmed Paystack Ghana’s focus on continuous improvement and best-in-class service in 2026, as digital payments continue to play a central role in helping businesses grow, build trust with customers, and expand beyond local markets.
The event featured a fireside chat with Alex Darko, CEO of Menufinder a Ghanaian food delivery technology company that has used Paystack for four years.
He shared how Paystack has supported Menufinder’s growth locally, particularly by enabling seamless online payments, and emphasised the importance of having a payments partner that understands the local market as the company prepares to expand into other African countries.
Beyond the conversations on stage, guests had the opportunity to engage directly with Paystack’s leadership and product teams, share insights into their business challenges, and learn about Paystack’s priorities for Ghana in 2026. Attendees also toured the new office, which will serve as an expanded support hub for merchants across the country.
Paystack said that the Accra office is part of a broader commitment to investing in people, partnerships, and infrastructure in Ghana.
As the digital economy continues to evolve, the company plans to work closely with businesses, financial institutions, and regulators to help build a payments ecosystem that enables Ghanaian businesses to grow with confidence.
