Bus Two of the 2026 Heritage Caravan claimed top honours in a sizzling cooking competition held on Sunday, March 29, during the Back to Your Village Food Festival.

The contest, a highlight of the festival’s vibrant culinary lineup, saw spirited chefs from all four buses in the caravan showcase their skills, creativity, and passion for Ghanaian cuisine.

Bus Two secured the top spot with its staple dish of rice and chicken stew, impressing judges across key criteria. Bus Four placed second, while Bus One and Bus Three finished third and fourth, respectively.

Judges said their decision was based on presentation, texture, and taste. “We looked at how the food was presented, the texture, and ultimately the taste before arriving at our decision,” they noted.

All participating teams received assorted products from sponsors, including Gino, Nana Rice, and Munchee Biscuits.

Powered by Channel One TV, with support from Citi FM, the festival is sponsored by Ecobank, Gino, Didi Shito, Munchee Biscuits, the National Petroleum Authority, and Everpack.
