The maiden Drive MSME Africa Workshop has been held to equip Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with practical skills in sustainability, leadership, financial management, corporate governance, and branding.
The two-day programme, held on March 13 and 14, 2026, brought together entrepreneurs and business professionals to explore strategies aimed at strengthening business systems and promoting long-term sustainability.
The first session took place at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, while the second day was conducted virtually.
Industry experts led sessions focusing on the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into core business operations, alongside practical strategies for building scalable systems to support growth and long-term viability.
Participants engaged actively through question-and-answer sessions, group discussions, and a dedicated business pitch segment, where they presented their ventures and received feedback from facilitators to refine their models.
The workshop also marked the launch of Cohort 1 of the Drive MSME Africa initiative, comprising about 21 selected MSMEs embarking on a year-long programme of capacity building, networking, and climate-conscious innovation.
The event was organised with support from partners including Eco-Africa Network, Korey Sustainability, Didi Jollof, Scolpta, and Reformation Community.
Organisers say the initiative will continue to support entrepreneurs with the knowledge and networks needed to build resilient and sustainable businesses.
