Veteran Ghanaian actor, Alexander Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, has announced plans to launch a new political group, the Ghana First Party.

According to the Kumawood actor, the move is aimed at challenging the long-standing dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a media interview, Agya Koo said his party will position itself as a viable third force to break the duopoly.

“The Ghana First Movement is building support across all 16 regions, with plans to form the political party in the near future. We all know that political power has largely alternated between the two major parties.

“That is why some people believe there is a need for a third party that can improve the lives of Ghanaians,” he said.
