The Ghana Police Service has appealed to the public to provide information to help track down three inmates still on the run following a jailbreak at the Adabraka Police Station.
The inmates were part of a group of six who escaped from custody on Sunday, April 26, 2026, triggering a citywide security response.
Police sources say three of the escapees have since been re-arrested, while efforts continue to locate the remaining fugitives across Accra.
Authorities have heightened security operations in key parts of the capital, deploying officers to strategic locations as part of an ongoing manhunt.
Investigations are also underway to establish how the inmates managed to break out of the police station, with officials seeking to determine any possible lapses in security.
The Police Service has urged members of the public to volunteer credible information that could lead to the arrest of the remaining suspects, assuring that all tips will be treated with confidentiality.
Officials say public cooperation is critical to ensuring the swift recapture of the escapees and restoring confidence in security within the city.
