A swift intervention by traders and fire officers prevented a fire outbreak from spreading to other shops at the Kejetia Market in the early hours of Monday morning, April 20.
The fire started in one of the shops where boxes of matches, candles, and other cosmetic products are sold.

It is unclear what caused the fire, but traders noticed smoke from the affected shop at approximately 8:30 a.m. and quickly used fire extinguishers to control the flames.
Fire officers stationed at the market were later called in to complement their efforts.
According to the traders, the combustible nature of the items in the shop could have made the situation worse if there had not been a swift intervention
