The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana has installed Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I, son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, as the new leader of the mission.

The announcement was made on the mission’s official Facebook page on Sunday, June 21, 2026, through a congratulatory message and a video celebrating his assumption of the role.

The post described the installation as a “significant milestone” and prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance as he takes up the responsibility.

The mission added that the legacy of its founder, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, would continue to inspire and flourish for generations.

The development comes amid reports of a court injunction seeking to halt the installation process, as well as reports of shooting incident involving former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo.
