Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on party members to put aside their grievances and forgive the party’s leadership for any perceived wrongs.
He emphasised the need for unity and reconciliation, urging all members to come together and work towards a resounding victory for the NPP in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking during his unveiling as the running mate of the party in Kumasi on Thursday, July 9, Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly called NAPO called on the party members to join him embark on a house-to-house campaign to canvass votes for the party.
He called on the electorates to reject the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 polls.
“Let’s unite to secure victory for the 2024 general elections. Join me to help Dr Bawumia work very hard to win the elections, and join me to embark on a house-to-house campaign to canvass votes. Let’s vote for Dr Bawumia.
“I’m your own, please help me to support Dr Bawumia. We want 85% of votes in the Ashanti Region. Forgive us our sins, members who have been disgruntled over the years, let’s forgive each other.
“Let’s unite to break the eight, we shouldn’t allow what happened in 2008 to happen, don’t vote for NDC they have nothing better to offer.”
