The Kpandai District Security council (DISEC) is calling on the Konkomba Youth Association (KOYA) and chiefs in the district to advise the youth to stop the attacks on herdsmen.
For about three days now some Konkomba youth in Kpandai have gone on rampage attacking herdsmen men in the area burning and killing their animals.
This follows an incident in Kpandai on Sunday evening July 7, when some unidentified men attacked and inflicted wounds on a Konkomba man in the bush who was on his way home after work.
The victim was brought to Kpandai town, the information on the unidentified men were that they were alleged to be Fulani herdsmen.
Seeing the condition of the victim, angered the Konkomba youth who went and completely destroyed the home of the local Fulani chief and also killed his cattle.
Incident escalated to other communities in the district where Fulani herdsmen and their animals are the target.
The Kpandai DISEC is calling on the leadership of the Konkomba Youth Association and Konkomba chiefs in the area to intervene by calling on the youth to stop the attack.
