Kwaku Kwarteng, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Obuasi West, has stated that clear communication of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) plans for Ghanaians is crucial for the party to secure a third term in office, a feat referred to as “breaking the eight”.
Kwarteng emphasised that the NPP needs to articulate its vision and strategies for the nation’s future effectively to increase its chances of re-election.
He said this in an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Channel One TV’s Face to Face on Tuesday.
“What we (NPP) can do to make it more certain that we are indeed winning this election is to ask ourselves what are the things that bother Ghanaians. The businesses who are worried, the debt restructuring they suffered, who are worried about the deteriorating cedi.
“What message can we send them so that they can see that even though it is still an NPP government the future will be different.”
“This is the time to communicate that clearly as a political party and get people to want to continue with us because we are going to do something different,” he said.
