The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Builsa North has dissociated itself from the group that condemned the allegations by the Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong, who said that the District Chief Executive, David Afoko, was sabotaging the party in the district.
The executives said the group that made those comments only sought to divide the party in the district and was made up of “disgruntled, self-seeking individuals.”
“We want to state unequivocally that we deeply regret the unfortunate event and that we have no knowledge of the press conference and wish to disassociate ourselves with the mischievous attempt to make it look as if it is all well with us in the constituency. In fact, we emphatically state again that we the executive have not contacted or gone into collaboration with any individual or group of individuals to hold a press conference on our behalf either,” a statement from them said.

DISCLAIMER: BUILSA NORTH CONSTITUENCY EXECUTIVE DEFEND THE DCE AGAINST THE WORD OF THE HON. KENNEDY AGYAPONG .
Following events on social media and news websites, we the executive of the Builsa North constituency of the upper east region noticed a publication by citinewsroom.com on the 1st day of May 2018. The item claims that the constituency executive of Builsa North held a press conference to defend the DCE on certain accusations.
We want to state unequivocally that we deeply regret the unfortunate event and that we have no knowledge of the press conference and wish to disassociate ourselves with the mischievous attempt to make it look as if it is all well with us in the constituency.
In fact, we emphatically state again that we the executive have not contacted or gone into collaboration with any individual or group of individuals to hold a press conference on our behalf either.
We want to believe that the self-imposed chairman, Mr Isaac Wenemare Hussein and secretary, Mr Dunwell Adama Akumuadey tricked passers-by into the Azenero Social Center for that mischievous conference.
That apart, Mr Dunwell Adama Akumuadey has never picked a nomination form to contest for an executive position in the constituency. The constitutionally elected secretary and chairman for the constituency are Hon. James Anaamuning and Atuga Albert Ajapoak respectively. Verification can be done at the party’ regional and National offices. It is, therefore, impersonation at the highest peak for Dunwell to hold himself as the constituency secretary. Unless of course, they want to tell us it is a silent coup de tat.
The executive would want to believe that these impersonators draw their inspiration from the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. David Afoko Amoabil to behave in this manner. To buttress the above point, the DCE was in support of Mr Isaac Wenemare Hussein who contested the chairmanship position and lost. That is why the DCE recognizes him as the chairman. The press conference which was consented by the DCE confirms it.
They then resort to press conferences to make it look as if people are looking for his downfall in the constituency.
Furthermore, it must be placed on record that no one among the executive has refused to work with the DCE but the vice versa.
The concerned group also alleged that the DCE hired buses to take the constituency executive to and from Cape Coast and Kumasi. That is a palpable lie and should be treated as the greatest comedy of the year. National and Regional Executive would bear us out.
We would want to use this medium to appeal to the party’s higher structures to conduct a forensic investigation into the matter to establish the truth.
The move perpetrated by those rather disgruntled, self-seeking individuals are making attempts to break the strength of the party to the advantage of others. As such, we will not sit down for visionless individuals to break the front of the party. All the praise songs for the DCE by the so-called coalition of concerned members portray that they are charting a wicked and treacherous course not only to usurp the powers of the executive but to either own or destroy the party.
However, we are not perturbed by these detractors who serve as threats to the executive in the constituency. We stand solid and committed to working hard to achieve the goals and good policies outlined by His Excellency the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In conclusion, we want to assure well-meaning members of the party that everybody has their own opinions and could express them at any time. But then the right channel should be followed. The constituency executives are poised to work and not to play sycophancy.
God bless Buluk. God bless NPP, God bless our homeland Ghana.
