The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed has mediated the impasse between the Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Iddrisu Musah Superior and constituency executives of the NPP the in the Tamale South and Tamale Central constituencies.
The Tamale MCE and the two constituencies’ executives have been at loggerheads over petty squabbles.
Supporters of Musah Superior and the aggrieved NPP executives used the media to settle their scores.

He invited the Tamale MCE and the Sagnarigu Municipal Chief Executive, Mariam Iddrisu to a meeting at the Regional Coordinating Council.
A former Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alhaji Iddrisu Adam Yoggu was part of the mediation team.
The Regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed reiterated his call on the aggrieved parties to respect the NPP’s constitution and stop the media warfare.
He said the mediation team was committed to resolve the impasse that is making the NPP unpopular in the region.
