Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Youth Organiser for Ketu South, Foga Nukunu says he will contest in the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries in Ketu South constituency of the Volta Region.
He made the declaration in a statement on Monday, June 8, 2019.
Born in Aflao Agbawoeme in Duta Electoral Area, Mr. Foga is convinced that he will be the ideal man to organise members to win power for the NDC in that area.
“I am of the strongest believe that I will be the perfect choice of the party because my choice will encourage branch executives and the grassroots to work harder for the party. Choosing me, I am certain, will push a lot of party members and the general public to come out and vote in the general elections,” he said in the statement.
He had served as the Assembly Member, branch secretary, a constituency youth organizer and constituency secretary for his electoral area.
The NDC has slated its parliamentary primaries on August 24, 2019.
The exercise is expected to take place across all 275 constituencies in the country.
General of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah told journalists that the party had pegged the filing fee at GHc25,000.
