The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Rigworld International Services Limited, Kofi Amoa-Abban has been honoured at the 2020 Ghana Development Awards.
He was awarded for his contribution to “the provision of offshore oil and gas infrastructure” in the country.
The second edition of the awards, which is usually held every four years, was organised by the Business Executive Limited.
The awards ceremony took place at the Marriott Hotel in Accra.
The award is organised with the aim of recognising hard-working institutions and personalities within the public and private sectors who have contributed to the development of the country and the economy.
Mr. Amoa-Abban has been receiving congratulatory messages from a wide section of Ghanaians after winning the award.
Notable among them is the Head of Sports Desk at Citi FM/Citi TV, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo.

The award adds to a long list of honours for the 37-year-old Asante Kotoko Board Member who manages over 11 companies in his portfolio.
In February 2016, Kofi Amoa-Abban received an honorary doctorate of Business Administration “Honoris Causa” from two universities, the Commonwealth University and the London Graduate School who collaborated.
In the same year, Kofi Amoa-Abban received the “Extraordinary Entrepreneur” award from the Tema Excellence Awards Foundation.
Amoa-Abban is among other things a 6-time winner of the CEO of the Year (Upstream) Award from the Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA), a 2016 EMY Ghana Award winner and a multiple Forty Under 40 Award winner.
The Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) Daniel Wilson Addo was also awarded for his contribution to the growth and development in the banking sector.
He (Daniel Wilson Addo) was also recognised for providing excellent banking services in Ghana.
