About SENAMF

It’s vision is to see Ghana, as a country, with a holistic and practical approach to cancer care; i.e. effective prevention, treatment, and post-treatment care.
Mission
1. To fund research that focuses on breast cancer and disseminate information to create awareness and knowledge (with particular emphasis on women, especially young professional women);
2. To support the design and development of enhanced preventive, medical and care systems to fight breast cancer, provide a platform for dissemination of relevant information and offer counselling services for caregivers to cancer patients.
3. To support breast cancer patients by bringing comfort and hope of survival to them through the provision of financial and technical resources/support to minimize the cost of treatment and post-treatment care.
4. To provide financial support to impoverished cancer patients for treatment
5. To advocate for expedited, consistent and committed care for cancer patients.
Achievements
Since its inception, it has ran over 25 outreach programmes, which have resulted in over 1,700 people benefiting from breast screening.
It has also covered the full medical cost of 11 needy cancer patients who were unable to pay for chemotherapy, surgical procedures and reviews.
The foundation has donated patient stretchers, x-ray boxes, patient exam couches, chemotherapy chairs and wheelchairs to the National Centre for Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine at the Korlebu Teaching hospital, Accra Ghana.
