Roofings and Steel Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of Fabrimetal Ghana Limited, has commissioned its new bus stop project intended to provide shelter at busy public spaces while preventing the spread of COVID-19 through social distancing.
Speaking to citinewsroom.com during the unveiling of the project at the Achimota Retail Centre in Accra, the Marketing Manager of the company, David Mawunya, said the project forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to support communities and impact lives.
He said Roofings and Steel Ghana produces import substitutes of the highest quality in Ghana, with safety and sustainability being a core priority in all its operations.
The President of the Artisanal Association of Ghana, Gideon Bidor, who received a donation package of health and safety equipment from Roofings and Steel Ghana, lauded the steel products manufacturer for its commitment to supporting the training of Ghanaian artisans and promoting their works.
He said the Association will continue to collaborate with the company to institute an award scheme to honour excellence in the artisanal field.
On his part, the Environmental Health Analyst of the Ga East Municipal Assembly, Richard Donkor, urged Ghanaian artisans to inculcate health and safety practices into their daily activities to minimize accidents at workplaces.
