John Dabuo, a tricycle driver in Wa, is in the grips of the Upper West Regional Police command for inflicting multiple blade wounds on his teenage twin sisters.
The 25-year-old and his mother, Biiana Dabuo, were arrested on Thursday at about 4:30 pm after a complaint was made by the twin sisters, Vivian Dabuo and Veronica Dabuo.
Inspector Gideon Boateng, the Deputy Upper West Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), in a release issued on Friday, noted that the victims lived at Kumbiehi, a suburb of Wa with one of the suspects, Biiana Dabuo, who is their mother.
The mother, according to the police, accused the victims of stealing GHc 200 from her and instructed suspect, John Dabuo to elicit the truth about the money from the 16-year-old twin sisters.
John Dabuo took them to the Wa sports stadium where he tortured them by using a sharp blade to inflict multiple wounds on them in a bid to compel them to confess to the theft.
The statement said, “the victims have been sent to the Upper West regional hospital while the two suspects have been detained in police cells pending investigation.”
