Tullow Ghana donates auditorium to Half Assini SHS

The lead operator of Ghana’s Jubilee Field, Tullow Ghana Limited has handed over a 1,500-seater auditorium to the Half Assini Senior High School in the Jomoro municipality of the Western Region.

The commissioning of the block on Thursday will now offer students the opportunity to write final year examinations and others exams in a spacious environment.

Students will also benefit from the comfort of holding entertainment and other educational events in a befitting environment.

“It will bring students together for lively debates and for shared educational experiences. It will also help foster mutual bonds which will last for the lifetime”. Nana Appia Kyei, the director, Exploration and Development at Tullow Ghana explained.

Tullow Ghana is known in the six coastal districts of the Western Region for its various Corporate Social Responsibilities in Water and educational facilities for the communities it operates.

The headmaster of Half Assini Senior High school Mr Kweku Kyikata recounted how Tullow Ghana renovated the school’s science laboratory as well as other supports to the school.

He assured Tullow, and all gathered that the facility, just like previous ones would be used for the purposed for which it was intended.

Before a citation was presented to Tullow, some of the students expressed their appreciation to the company for making their studies in the school a little more conducive to them.

Chairperson of the school’s board Madam Afiba Dadzie presented the citation to Tullow which summarised the school’s appreciation for Tullow’s contribution.
