Theovision International, an audio bible production organization in Africa has launched the celebration of its 30 years anniversary in ministry.
Theovision over the years has produced audio bible for 38 African countries in over 400 languages across Africa.
In Ghana, the organisation has made audio bible accessible and available in 43 local languages.
In an interview with Citi News on the sidelines of the official launch of the 30th anniversary celebrations, the President of Theovision Rev. Theodore Asare indicated that his organization is committed to ensure that the gospel is spread and made available to the general public in their mother tongue.
“We are a non profit Christian organization which has chosen to work in deprived rural areas because if the heart of the people in those villages are not change then we have failed, so what we do is that we raise funds and mobilize doctors and nurses to screen them and provide medical care to them. We are currently running 2,689 bible reading camps in the country, these people in the camp’s listen to the Bible in their mother languages, solve problems including marital issues according to the word of God, now there are improved technological equipment and through that Theovision will be doing wonders with it and try and spread the word of God in every part of the country for lives to be changed and transformed”.
Rev Theodore Asare also explained how his organization is using corporate social responsibility activities to better lives of areas they operate.
“We are also involved in rural developmental projects within communities to transform the lives of its residents, some include Water and Sanitation projects and trainings, Medical Outreach, Sustainable farming practices for women, sewing and bead making projects for young and deserted mother’s, media training and other projects”.
Rev Theodore who outlined series of activities earmarked for the celebrations called on donors and partners to continue supporting the vision.
“As part of activities lined up to celebrate our 30 years in ministry, we will organise a 10/30 campaign where 10 friends will contribute GHC 30 every month to raise funds, church visitations, 30 days bible listening, staff car washing, health walk to Aburi, medical outreach in the Central Region, inter schools bible quiz, homecoming and fun games. I will take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to our partners and donars who have supported us for all this while , we are humbled for the relationship and we want them to continue the good work “.
