The father of the 23-year-old man who was shot during a demonstration over electricity bills in Odumase-Krobo in the Eastern Region has expressed dissatisfaction with a police report on the death of his son.
According to an autopsy report confirmed by the Police, Thomas Partey died from a gunshot fired at close range.
The report also indicated that the young man died from severe chest injury and hemorrhagic shock.
However, the deceased’s father, Wilfred Sam Partey insists the police have not given enough information about the person who shot his son.
Speaking to Citi News in an interview, he urged the police to investigate further to find the person responsible for the death.
“They have not said anything about the dead. Just that they found the boy wounded or they took him to the hospital. I want to know the gun or the bullet that killed my son and where it came from. I was not there so I do not know whether it was the Police or anybody but I want them to investigate and tell me.”
