A National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant in the Akatsi North constituency, Dr. Donald Senanu Agumenu has denied allegations that he is using military personnel to intimidate his opponents in the constituency.
Dr. Agumenu said the claims are calculated attempts intended to hurt his campaign.
Some constituency executives had accused him of instructing his military attaché to physically assault someone in the camp of one of his opponents.
He is also accused of carrying out a similar attack on the campaign team of Peter Nortsu Kotoe, who’s the incumbent MP in the area.
But in an interview with Citi News, Donald Senanu said the allegations are false.
“I will never do anything to undermine the integrity and peace of any society, moreover my society. That story is not true, it is false, I have no capacity to even send soldiers or to even gather soldier to go and attack [other people].”
The NDC parliamentary primaries will take place on Saturday, 24th August 2019.
