The Walewale district court has adjourned the case involving suspects who engaged in a robbery in Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawuma’s Kperiga home.
Six persons allegedly broke into the home of Dr Bawumia at Kperiga near Walewale last week and made away with a TV set, decoder and fridge after scaling over the wall of the house.
According to Citi News sources, the judge was absent due to the strike by the Judicial Staff which was called off last night.
The suspects have however been remanded into police custody.
The caretaker of Dr. Bawumia’s residence, Clement Juayibin told Citi News that work was underway to improve security in the home.
The walls were said to be short and had no barb wires, making it easy for the burglars to scale it and get access to the premises.
