The Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation in collaboration with the Information Ministry will over the next three days hold a Results Fair in the capital at the Accra International Conference Center.
The fair is aimed at making information available to the public on the outcome of various government policies and programs.
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Monday, Chief Technical Advisor to the Minister of Monitoring and Evaluation, Andrew Assibey outlined the structure of the fair which he says will be replicated across the other regions.
“It will be derived from the results framework that we prepared which has key outcomes for key areas for instance what we call government flagship programs. And for each outcome, we’ll drill down to sub-outcomes, activities, and milestones. And then we have short-term outcomes, medium-term outcomes and then the ultimate outcomes. So we are tracking with baseline value use and targets,” he said.
The Results Fair is one of the efforts by the NPP government to promote inclusive engagements and interactions between the public sector and the citizenry and promote evidence-based decision making and improve accountability for results.
The initiative is under the theme, “Delivering results for our citizens, a work in progress”.
