Delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency of the Greater Accra Region have elected the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Youth Authority, Sylvester Tetteh as parliamentary candidate ahead of the 2020 polls.
Out of the 540 valid votes cast, Mr. Tetteh polled 317.
Other aspirants who contested him included the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Alhaji Habib Saad who secured 178 votes.
The rest were Fred Annan and George Addo Osei Waare garnered 36 and six votes respectively.
Another aspirant, Gifty Mensah failed to obtain a single vote.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the first time the Constituency was created in 2012.
However, the sitting MP, Alhaji Habib Saad won the seat in 2016 but has been unable to retain his slot.
Sylvester Tetteh was a one-time parliamentary candidate for the Ningo Prampram Constituency.
