The body of a man believed to be in his 30s was on Saturday morning found at Kambongnaayili, a village in the Walewale Municipality of the North East Region.
According to the Assembly Member for the area, the body was found lying by a bridge on the road leading to Walewale.
He told Citi News that they have not identified the body, but found some ID cards on him with the name, Kwabena Daniel.
Police have since conveyed the body to the Walewale Municipal Hospital.
The Assembly Member, Issah Abdul Gafaru, in an interview with Citi News said he was informed about the unfortunate incident by the Sanitation Officer in the area.
He said the body has been deposited at the Walewale Mortuary
“We don’t know where he is coming from. I was in my house when I got a phone call from the Walewale Sanitation Officer that I should come to the Police station, and that they have found a dead body in my electoral area. So I quickly went there and we saw him. The body has been sent to the Walewale Municipal Hospital”.
Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission Officer in the area have identified the card to be from Kpandai in the Northern Region.
