A non-governmental organization, Rainbow Trust Foundation joined the Citi FM Foundation‘s annual Easter Orphan Project at the Baptist School Orphanage Complex (BASCO), Trotor – Suhum in the Eastern Region.
The group which focuses on providing academic materials to aid underprivileged communities presented hundreds of books to stock the orphanage’s library and enhance capacity and promote literacy.
The donation was made on Easter Monday when management and staff of Citi FM/ Citi TV spent the day with children in the home.
In addition, BASCO received from the Citi FM Foundation items including, several boxes of banana, rice, gari, maize, sugar, milk, drinks, detergents and toys.
The rest were biscuits, confectionery, packs of water, cooking oil, stationery, toiletries among many others.
BOSCO was also presented with a cheque for GHS 30,000 by management of Citi FM/Citi TV.
Hundreds of the children after the donation were treated to good music, food and other goodies to make the Easter celebration an unforgettable one for them.
Rainbow Trust Foundation (RTF) was officially registered as a Non-Governmental Organisation in March 2015 under the codes of Ghana with the sole objective to work and liaise with other partners and sponsors in improving children’s access to quality education.
The main partner of RTF is BookAid International which is in the United Kingdom.
The Charity Organisation namely BookAid International has over the years provided RTF with the academic materials and tools that have been distributed all over the horizons of Ghana and beyond.
